There are shadows that linger in the recess of my mind, like ghosts that suddenly flits by. I sense its presence but when I turn to where I feel it, there is nothing. And my mind begins to question if it was real.
There are memories that I desperately buried, but it flickers to see if my mind is willing to recall. I feel the truth though I choose to forget it. I choose to believe it is a dream. I choose to ignore it. I choose to think of it as an illusion of my deceitful mind.
