Wow! It’s been almost two years since my last entry. Time flies when there are a lot of things to keep you busy. I miss my blogs and checking on other blogs.

I finally was able to get hold of the book “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron last year. I had to order it from the US since I couldn’t find one in our local bookstores. You can order it in Powerbooks but it will still take time since they’re gonna order it outside as well and it will cost me more.

However, I still haven’t had the time to do the activities in the book. I would really want to try it and see if it will unlock and help me rediscover my creativity… All these daily stress have seem to dry up and bury my creative juices…

Creative Block?

Sigh.

I’m missing photography… It’s been a while since I took my camera and took some photos.

Sigh.

I’m getting restless and need time for more creative outlets… I have this deepening urge to sit down, draw and paint.

Sigh.

I need inspiration for new ideas… Need to come up with new accessory designs. The ideas are somewhere there but I can’t seem to draw them out of my head.

Sigh.

Photo Workshop

The six-day photography sessions I attended since February 13 (held every Tuesdays and Fridays) has come to an end last night. I had a great time attending the sessions and learning more about photography. The projects were also both a challenge and an enjoyment to do.

Our instructor is an old friend and an officemate way back when we both used to work in IT. He has then shifted careers from IT to film & photography.

The night ended with some snacks and drinks… a time to chit-chat and get to know each other in the class.

Luckily, I still have this Saturday to look forward to. I’ll be attending a half-day Studio Lighting Workshop. Can’t wait!

Looking for Inspiration.

January is almost over. My sis and I still have to think of new designs to release for our fashion accessories line and new gimmiks. It seems my mind is still on vacation mode. So no new creative juices flowing yet.

I am so happy and excited with the results of our new handmade art necklaces… It does take a while to make and it needs extra care especially when putting the final finish, but I just love the end result!

I decided to make a personalized necklace of my kids for myself. Classic! It was a good thing I was able to find a nice photo of them together, which is rare. I then cropped and turned this colored photo into a sepia tone.

We will be posting and offering these necklaces in our business site very soon.

My new fixation for clay seems to be rubbing off on my eldest daughter (who is 5). She too is so anxious and excited to be creating different things out of clay.

To Buy or Not To Buy?

Recently, my craving for a laptop has been heightened. The practicality of its mobility is luring me more and more to get one.

I still have my hesitations though. I have always liked keeping a desktop due to its easier upgradability feature, unlike laptops which I find limited. But of course, I can’t bring out my desktop with me if I go out. Duh?!

Initially, brand was not a major consideration for me. However, recently I seem to be more and more wanting an MacBook, as recommendations would put it – it is still the best for graphic applications. But my “as-long-as-I-can-remember-Windows-usage” sometimes gives me second thoughts.

Oh well, I’m still saving up for it anyway.

A New Addiction

I am recently getting addicted to making stuff using polymer clay. The possibilities are endless. The results are exciting… although the expenses are painful in the pocket! Ouch!
